Liked: Nothing. It was awful. I cannot believe I paid money to stay there.

Disliked: It was so dirty. I entered the room and saw a spider crawling on my bed. Then, ants all over the floor. The floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. The WC for the whole floor was disgusting and smelled awfully. The TV was a joke. The man at the front desk was a creep and incredibly inappropriate. The breakfast didn't start until 8 am, which was after the time I had to leave. The place is way too overpriced. It is a scam. DONT STAY HERE!

Liked: When I was looking for a place to stay the night in Athens I came across this place but was slightly put off by the reviews. I think most of the reviews were for somewhere else because I have had such a pleasant experience at Neos Olympus - I've booked the next five nights here and canceled my other Athens booking! The hotel is beautiful and still retains its original architecture with some modern fixtures, all rooms have aircon and TVs, the beds are comfortable (the sheets are changed daily, so I don't know where people got bed bugs from.. maybe they already had them) the rooms don't smell like cigarettes and bathrooms are cleaned every day (24hr hot showers, and plenty of room to dry off and get changed), the breakfast is more than adequate given that other hostels only offer a piece of bread and tea. For breakfast you get the choice of cereal, toast with various jams or cheese and ham, cake, coffee, juice and tea. The hotel is run by a lovely lady and her son, and they have both been extremely helpful in showing us where to go in Athens. It is close to Larissa rail station, and only 3 stops away from all the sites in Athens. Train tickets cost 1.50 euro, so its not going to break your budget. The area surrounding the hotel, whilst not fantastic, is 10 times better than Omonia Sq and as a single girl I have had no problems walking late at night. And if that doesn't convince you, the cheapest room (a 4 bed dorm) is 13.00euros.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing.
