This is the former land of Nam Hoa Village, Huu Tuc Commune, old Tho Xuong District. By the middle of the 19th century, this village changed its name to Nam Pho and Huu Tuc was also renamed Dong Tho.
During the French colonial period, it was called "rue des Radeaux" in Hang Be Street, in 1920 changed the name of the city of Chile (rue Hulet). In 1945, the name of the old town was taken back to Hang Be Street so far.
