Liked: I liked the location, close to public transport and easily accessible to the French Quarter and Museums. The rooms were nice but some beds are in corridors and you have to walk through them to get to yours. Offer pancake breakfast, book swap and spa present. Staff were really helpful with requests, such as printing.

Disliked: The atmosphere at times is not welcoming, not from the staff but other patrons. They sit in big groups and as an newbie outsider and a shy one @ times you want someone just to say hi come sit down (not that their is enough room).

Liked: Where to start. This hostel is so much fun. With the experience in my last US being one where I encountered no interactions at all with other people, it was such a relief to come to Atlas House and meet so many lovely people. It's so easy to meet people and both Freddie and Izzy are so nice and a lot of fun and might even show you to some cool places if their feeling like it and make everyone feel really included. Not to mention they'll help you out with anything and give you great advice. It's also nice feeling like your in a home, because well, you are basically staying in one!

Disliked: There's not much to complain about here. It's a slight walk from town and to some of the bars on bourbon or Frenchmen but if your with a group you can easily split a cab or uber for super cheap. Or catch the street cart which is great fun anyway. Plus if you walk during the day time you get to see a pretty nice and interesting area.

Liked: Had a great time at Atlas House! The Staff, Jessi, Freddie and Izzy, were awesome! They make pancakes and coffee for you every morning and let you know about all the goings on in New Orleans while you're there. The rooms are clean and they have a nice courtyard with a hot tub. Overall, it is just a very nice and inviting place to stay while exploring New Orleans.

Liked: A very enjoyable place to stay. The atmosphere encourages guests to socialise and it was the ideal place to stay for Mardi Gras. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - and may even join you for a night out on Frenchmen St. There are hostel activities and a free breakfast of pancakes and coffee.

Disliked: The dorm building in the back only has weak radiators. If you happen to visit at a cold time of year (it was around 0-5C most nights), it can be quite chilly in the bedroom.

Liked: The staff was awesome, they were very friendly. Freddie made suggestions about restaurants near the area. The overall experience was wonderful. We also stayed on January 18th, a very nice young lady with light brown hair checked us in and she was great as well (sorry I forgot her, I arrived tired so I wasn't at my best)

Disliked: There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the property.
