About Base Camp Detroit

Adventurers welcome! Stay here & help fund our renovation work as we bring this abandoned 20's mansion back to life!
House is rustic & a work -in- progress. Private room is restored with original private bathroom. Lockable Room Door, King bed with Foam Mattress, Desk & Chair for work, Mini Fridge, and Microwave. Shared community kitchen with fresh morning coffee & tea. 5-15 mins bike to most top attractions. Perfect for biking explorers.
Since other travellers and our international volunteers helping us will be staying under the same roof, the space has a strong community vibe. Expect to meet cool people from all around. We’ve made lots of friends while travelling and staying in this type of shared environment and we love it. :)

Location Information

We’re located 1 mile up from Belle Isle and 2 miles east of downtown Detroit. We are close to West Village, Eastern Market, Heidelberg Project, and many other attractions. Easiest way to navigate is by pulling up a GPS mapping app like Google Maps and you’ll see all current bus options based on the time and location.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
