Group of 15 or more traveling to Celerina?
Map and Directions
You can travel to the Engadin by car quickly and easily from anywhere in Switzerland, Italy, Germany or Austria. Examples of distances and travelling times:
Zurich–Celerina: 200 km, 3 hours
Milan–Celerina: 170 km, 2½ hours
Munich–Celerina: 275 km, 4 hours
Basel–Celerina: 290 km, 3½ hours
Via the Julier Pass:
You can travel to Celerina by following the route Chur–Thusis-Tiefencastel and then driving over the Julier Pass. At the bottom of the pass, in Silvaplana, continue in the direction of St. Moritz as far as Celerina/Schlarigna. Take the “Celerina” exit, and then on the main road through the village turn off into the first road on the left. After 200 metres, you will see the Hostel Inn Lodge on the left. There are parking spaces in front of the hotel.
With its winding tunnels and dizzying viaducts, the journey on board the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) from Chur via Tiefencastel to the Engadin is one of the most picturesque and – from a railway engineering point of view – most interesting in the whole of Europe. Another option is to travel from Landquart via Klosters, through the Vereina Tunnel, and into the Engadin; the train journey from Zurich Main Station to Celerina takes a good 3 hours.
How to get from Celerina station to the hotel (approx. 10 minutes on foot)
When you leave the railway station, turn right. After 100 metres, turn left into Via da la Staziun. Continue straight on beyond the roundabout until you reach Via Nouva, then turn right. After 200 metres, you will find the Hostel Inn Lodge on the left.
