Important Information

SHUTTLE- If you are traveling by bus then you will need to BOOK a shuttle to get to Hogsback. The shuttle runs on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday leaving Sugarshack in East London (R150 per person each way) and Buccaneers in Chintsa (R180 per person each way) between 11am and 1pm. NOTE: We meet up with the PE to Durban Baz Bus, but not the other direction as it arrives too late.

About Away with the Fairies

We have an on-site bar with tasty meals and homemade pizzas. Or alternatively, you can chill in our lounge or cook in our self catering kitchen. Come and enjoy some great views of the area in a bath tub outside in the garden.

Guests have a variety of options to sleep in:
camping, dorms, twins, doubles and en-suite twins and doubles, most with amazing views.

At Striders, there are 3 en-suite twins, an en-suite double and 2 en-suite triples. The main hostel has Frodo's and Bilbo's en-suite double rooms, The Hobbit self catering cottage and all the dorms and the camping. This is all, next to the bar and restaurant and where everything happens.

Location Information

Hogsback has amazing bird and animal life, with parrots nesting in our garden, and monkeys daily visitors.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
