About Valley View Backpackers

Dear travellers,

We would like to introduce and welcome you to Valley View Backpackers. We will make your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible and help you with as much information as we can on the local activities and attractions. This is a place where you can exchange experiences with fellow travellers, and if you would to keep in touch with family and friends, don't despair, we have WiFi and Internet facilities!

Valley View is above all a clean, friendly and homely place where you can relax after an exhausting day of explorations and adventure. Set in a beautiful landscaped garden and tranquil atmosphere, there are hot showers, a nice bed and some good breakfasts on offer whilst you relax on the wooden veranda overlooking the mountain landscape and valley vista below. Perfect to reload your batteries for another day full of great sightings and experiences.

Valley View Backpackers is located on the western side of the village overlooking the Graskop valley, only 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. Graskop is a doorway leading you on your way to the Panoramic Route along the Blyde River Canyon, the Kruger National Park or even Swaziland and Mozambique, and is surrounded by mountains, lush forests and rolling hills of green. An ideal place for hiking or mountain biking through the tree plantations and grasslands, visiting the many waterfalls en route.

The main house with a fully-equipped kitchen and a sitting room which has a TV/DVD player and plenty of tourist information on the multitude of attractions and activities to see and do in the area. If you need information we have Valley View tourist files to browse through and we will gladly inform you about the plenty of possibilities there are in this magnificent area. We offer local tours and hikes along the canyon, picnics to spectacular waterfall sights, and transfers to and from Hazy View, Sabie, Nelspruit and Belfast (N4). We can help to create and book tours to the Kruger Park and assist with making bookings for the numerous adventure activities on offer in the province of Mpumalanga.

Mountain bikes may be rented for half day or full day at Valley View so that you can explore the local surroundings of Graskop. We provide maps, permits and information about the various biking routes and hiking trails. On return you will for sure be in need of a nice hot shower and perhaps require a clean set of clothing, well look no further as laundry facilities are available here on site too!
