Getting to the Edinburgh Festival Campsite ( EFC)
EFC is situated at The Royal Highland Centre on the west side of Edinburgh, located next to Edinburgh Airport, within minutes of the M8 and M9 and in easy reach of the city centre.
Royal Highland Centre sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between Newbridge roundabout and the A8/airport roundabout, one of the main routes into the city.
EFC is situated within the Royal Highland Centre adjacent to Edinburgh Airport.
Haymarket is the nearest large train station with excellent train links across the UK.Contact National Rail on 08457 48 49 50 or click here. Lothian Buses run regular services stopping outside Haymarket Station and dropping off opposite the camp site on the A8 - journey time is 16 - 19 minutes. . To plan your journey use Travelline journey planner put in ‘ opp ingliston showground’ as your destination ( Bus no’s for this stop: 20, 21, 21A, 22, 63, 747, 900, 904, 909, AIR, X6, X19, X20, X21, X22, X38)
Or, why not hop in a taxi?. Taxis are plentiful outside Haymarket station and there is a transfer time of around 15/20 minutes to EFC.

Access to EFC is from A8/Airport roundabout on to Glasgow Road. From there signposts provide directions into the camp site car park off of the A8.
From Edinburgh: Lothian Buses run regular services. All buses run regularly , the closest stop is just on the A8, the bus stop is known as ‘Opp Ingliston Showground’ - use this as your destination in the Travelline Journey Planner to plan your journey. The Stagecoach Jet747 bus service from Fife will drop visitors off outside the main entrance to Royal Highland Centre.
