The building was built in 1922 and has been completely refurbished to become the best Lisbon hostel, with 1.000 square m2 spread over 5 stories, has 16 rooms, 4 en-suites included, with private full bathroom, 124 cabine special bunk beds and 8 twin beds, Tottalizing 131 Dorms, 8 changing bathrooms (male/female), with 31 cabine showers, 44 lavatories and 15 bathrooms divided by (m/f)all situated from 1º floor to 5th floor. The GOLDEN TRAM 242 LISBONne HOSTEL is a non - smoking hostel, also totaly equipped against fire risks.

We cater a coffee shop bar/living room in the 1º floor, all day dinning: free breakfast, portuguese finger food tapas specialities, snacks, lunches & dinners. At weekends will have special animation/entertainment programmes: fado songs,latin dancing and portuguese gastronomie cooking nights. We offer competitive f&b prices, with great value for our guests money.

We have an elevator from main floor to 4th floor. All rooms are equipped with: a.c., insuflated/extracted air, wireless internet, eletronic keys, telephones, fire detectors, boxes/drawers to store values and clothes and windows facing aurea stret.Laundry service by one washing and one dryer machines. Reception/concierge, security open 24 hours and CCTV in all floors.Vending machines: tobacco, beverages & snacks on Ground Floor.

Bed linen free, Key Card and one bath towel free at arrival (5€ bail upon devolution of towel and keycard at check out time), second request for towel, 1,00€ per piece.Rooms cleaned and beds stretched everyday.

Justa Elevator, the squares of:rossio, restauradores and hard rock café, praça do comercio, all musuems, best shops, restaurantes, pubs, bars and night life entertainment at bairro alto, chiado, s.jorge castle, alfama and next to metro chiado station,buses and ferries to cross the tagus river to take direct buses to the best european beaches - caparica. Also take the near metro and the train to estoril/cascais beaches. From direct near chiado metro sation to the lisbon airport and vice versa. Due to that we may say that we have the best lisbon hostel location, as well as, being our commitment that we are going to do our outmost to have the best overall hostel service, due to ours 40 years of hotel management experience.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
