About Intersail

Eat and sleep on board our Hotel Boat and discover the Netherlands in a relaxing fashion. Take nightly strolls in our beautiful cities and towns. There are several points of interests “ the Anne Frank Museum, the Rembrandt Museum, NEMO, Artis zoo, the rijks museum (national museum) van gogh museum, sex museum and many many more.

We are open for a limited availabilty due to sailing trips during the year.

Accommodation Information

Intersail Hostel is located within a boat, this creates a very unique location to stay in Amsterdam.
Because of this, the rooms are small and it can be a bit noisy, but if everybody is considerate with each other this normally doesn't create any problem.

Intersail has 3 types of rooms, all exist out of bunk beds and shared showers and toilets.
All rooms have a sink, a heater, extra blankets during the winter and a porthole that can open.

We have 2, 3 and 4 person rooms, all rented out as private rooms.
the 3 person room exists out of 1 bunk bed and a normal bed.

all beds are smaller than normal beds, so tall or big people who are not used to sleep in smaller beds might not enjoy this. Especially the 4 person room is quite small, so if you rent this room for 4 people, we recommend you not to take to much luggage.

Besides the small rooms there is a spacious lounge with free Wifi and a computer available for use.
you can chat here all day long and have a drink along with it.

Location Information

the boat is located in Oosterdok harbor, right next to the NEMO science museum and about 2 minute walk from the Amsterdam library and conservatorium.

Most attractions are within walkable distance,
red light district about 15 minutes
Central station about 10 minutes
Dam square about 20-25 minutes
Nieuwmarktplein -10-15 minutes
Rembramd plein +/- 20 minutes
Museum and Leidsche plein are the only places you might prefer to take a bus or tram as they are about 35-45 minute walk

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
