Important Information
*Please note that we charge credit cards on the arrival date. It is not possible to pay cash upon arrival.
* We have a 3 day cancellation policy. If you want to cancel your reservation, please log into your personal Hostelworld account and make the changes before midnight (Amsterdam time) three days before your arrival date. Cancellation by phone is not accepted. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night's accommodation. These conditions also apply if the date of arrival has been changed by email. Once you have arrived, paid and checked in it is not possible to receive a refund if you decide to leave early.
* Taxes not included - city tax 7.00 % per person per night. City Tax is to be paid upon check-in.
* If you are charged a no show charge, then the city tax will transfer into a cancellation fee.
* Bag drop-off from 08:00, rooms available to use from 13:30. This hostel is smoke-free, drug-free and alcohol-free. You may smoke cigarettes in the courtyard. There's no curfew or lockout.
* A Passport or government issued identity card (for EU citizen) is required upon check-in.
* We accept reservations of guests 18 years of age and older.
* If you have booked the four-person room for two or more people, we can't guarantee you'll be put in the same room but we will try our best. Our dorms are segregated by gender; if you book the wrong room we can't guarantee your accommodation.
* There are free lockers. Please bring your own padlock or buy one at reception.
* If the same name, e-mail or credit card is used in multiple bookings for a total of more than 8 people on the same day then we will cancel the booking since we do not accept groups of more than 8 people.
* A keycard is mandatory for entering the hostel and for lost key card 5 euros will be charged.

About Shelter Jordan
All our staff speak English and you can expect make friends with staff and guests from all over the world. Our large cafe area is open all day for you to hang out, eat your own food or buy cheap food, drinks and snacks from our kitchen. We have books, games and free WiFi as well as lots of information about Amsterdam and ideas of what to see and do. You can buy discounted museum tickets at reception as well as tickets for public transport or a canal cruise. We also rent bicycles and have free daily activities available such as Bible studies, city walking tours, Dutch food tasting events and evening prayer.

Location Information
Shelter Jordan hostel is in the Western part of Amsterdam's city centre, right in the middle of the quiet and picturesque Jordaan (Jordan) area. The Jordaan is famous for its beautiful canals, 17th century houses and trendy boutiques and makes the perfect place to stay if you don't want to be right in the busy centre of town. Anne Frank's house is just at the end of our street and Dam Square and Leidseplein are only a 10 minute walk away. There's a tram and bus stop just around the corner from the hostel taking you to the train station (8 minutes) or the rest of the city. The bus station just 400m away has direct buses to the airport. You can rent a bike from us to explore the city or beyond.
Cancellation Policy
Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 3 days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
