About the Sparkling Turtle Backpackers Hostel

We are an independent Backpackers Hostel located in the heart of the sacred and mystical town of Swoyambhu (MONKEY TEMPLE) Kathmandu.

The Sparkling Turtle Backpackers Hostel offers a unique opportunity to live amongst Holy Monkeys and to experience the vibrant chanting of the Monks prayers from the many monasteries that surround Swoyambhu.

We offer clean, affordable and safe accommodations for all those who have come to explore the endless beauty that Nepal has to offer.

You will find a friendly and comfortable atmosphere to connect with and share stories amongst other travelers.

After a long day of sightseeing and traveling come and relax in our Chill out Cafe . We have an Nepali infused style European BBQ and a salad bar designed by our European Chef, as we know that it can be challenging to consistently eat local foods. A definite refresher for those who are traveling long term through Nepal and India!

Our Cafe includes locally grown Boutique Coffee, international and local selection of a wide variety of premium Teas, Wines and Beers.

We can arrange for in-expensive airport pick up, please let us know 24 hours in advance with full name , flight number, airline name, time and date.

Location Information

We do have airport pick up so you can avoid unnecessary hassle which is common at Kathmandu Airport!! The Airport Pick up cost Nrs 900 which you can share with your Friend (Up to three people). If you arrive at Night time the charge would be NRs 1300.

If you come yourself, Please beware of Airport/Taxi touts as they will try to convenience you we do not exist as they get paid to bring you to there friends guest house.

If you are coming from the airport the easiest way is:
Catch a prepaid taxi in the airport to either Buddha park (ring road) Swoyambhu, Near 3 large Golden Buddha Statues.

You can easily get the taxi to phone us or you can call from any shop and we will come to pick you up . We are about 2 mins from Buddha park

We are located near Bhuddha park Swoyambhu ,(10 mins from Monkey Temple main entrance & 5 mins from the Kimdole taxi stand. )

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
