About Hostel ONE96

We provide friendly, clean and affordable dorm and private accommodation with a social environment.

We'd love to help you discover the beautiful culture of this Himalayan land and we aim for a family environment with vegetarian friendly 'family dinner' every night (optional).

We are a group of young friendly staff who have all traveled extensively throughout Nepal and a little around South Asia and are happy to share our experience's with you. We are in close contact with various volunteer organisations and this is a big part of our daily grind. We love the diverse conversations and cultures around our dinner table and relaxed nights on the roof top with acoustic guitar and a chilled beer in hand. We started ONE96 with the hope of connecting people from around the world to volunteer and travel in this amazing country while having a friendly and affordable 'home base' to enjoy your time in Kathmandu.

Location Information

We are located on Paknajol Marg, The boarder street of Thamel. Meaning we are close to the night time party scene but far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep.

Hostel ONE96 is a 15 minuet walk to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and 5 minuets to Kathmandu's Durbar Square ( Old town centre)
Places such as Boudhanath, Bhaktapur and Patan are a short taxi or local bus ride away (we can help you with directions)
The local bus stop is 2 minuets at the end of the road.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
