Liked: it is run by a very kind family- peaceful place with a tropical garden setting and sofa's to sit and relax/read/write etc..unwind from travels! It was easy to walk to everything.. and they even made me a cup of tea when i arrived...also the breakfast was really special- mango, papaya, roti bread still hot- and delicious curry sauce..

Disliked: it had no mosquito netting on the windows so you couldn't open the shutters-but the manager made sure there were coils burning- so we did not get bitten...

Liked: It is a nice cosy place, some kind of a farmer house. Old Malay style wooden house with garden. It is nice to sit in the garden and relax. It is also nice that there is free coffee and tea and Roti Prata (fried bread) for breakfast.

Disliked: The facilities are simple, one toilet didn't work well and the walls are thin so you might hear the neighbors. Walking to Jonker streets takes quite a while (30min?) which is okay but it is not right in the centre. The map on their website is not very accurate, so better have a look on Google Maps before driving there.

The property's response is

Walking to jonker street takes you approximately 15 minutes depending on walking style, slow or to fast pace. If you see the whole UNESCO designated map, we are slightly into the middle (North is Stadhuys, China Town) - ((West is Malls and restaurants etc) - (East - Bukit China & Temples *oldest cemetary out of China) - (South - Portuguese Settlement & St Johns Fort). Somehow, everyone is pulled towards Stadhuys and China Town and of course i do agree.

Liked: Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is great - typically Malay style, and delicious. It's truly a homestay experience.

Disliked: As it's a wooden house, could hear whenever someone was walking in the aisle or nearby rooms. Malacca is very hot, so would have preferred somewhere with a pool.
