Liked: The village is really cute, the hostel is clean and pretty, they tidy up in the room every day. The athmosphere is amazing. The breakfast was great as well, the lady there is really nice.

Disliked: The noise from the street can be really loud and disturbing if you want to sleep with open window - which in this hot weather is essential for me. No private parking place for the cars. There are public parking places nearby, just a couple of steps away but the are all for pay. Although staying here gives you 50% off of the parking fee, still you have to add at least 5 EUR/day for the price of the accodomation in case you arrive by car.

Liked: This is a small and really friendly place, with lots of character. The room was quite plain, but felt characterful and was comfortable. Breakfast was fine - the cakes, in particular, cooked fresh on the premises each night, were delicious. However, the rest of breakfast was a little ordinary - nevertheless, good value. The hotel does not do food to any real extent. But the bar does stay open until two in the morning. This means that it is always possible to have a late nightcap on the way to bed, but also means that it can be quite noisy, especially if, like us, you have a room overlooking the bar area. The best aspect of the place was the staff - particularly one lady (I never did catch her name) who was a veritable mine of useful information that helped us get to Versona, use the ferries, and even do some walking in the mountains - accessed from just behind the hotel. And all with a smile and good humour. A real asset!

Disliked: The hotel is located in one of the smaller and less popular villages on the south side - which suited us fine - and is very close to the Lake. However, it is also slap bang onto the busy road that travels the south side of the lake, and was really noisy until the wee hours of the morning and starting again at around 5. Because the hotel has no air conditioning - and we were there in August - we had to have the window open, and our sleep was really quite disturbed.

Liked: Lake Garda is a little slice of paradise and staying here made the stay even more special. It was outstanding value for money and the breakfast was out of this world with lots of fresh cakes, pastries and breads...Mmmm! Considering you will pay the same price for a hostel in some cities this was a great find! The location is great, right on the lake and there is some wonderful walking to be had. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay and a place to explore other areas of Garda from.

Disliked: Nothing at all!
