Liked: It is a 3 floors building, with a small, nice terrace. Friendly, chit chat in the sunny kitchen, family own.Very safe!! Locks and keys all the time, good. Not the best area of Guate City, but it's the City that is unsafe at night or in "difficult"zones!Clean! Good TV and WiFi. Good beds.

Disliked: You see few other around, but it is winter and few turists around there. It is a rather patchwork building, but with sunny corridors. Then, it is dull.

Liked: - Relatively cheap, nice view from kitchen/breakfast room.

Disliked: - On arrival (~1am), taxi driver told us the area is very dangerous, and stayed with us until we were let in to the hotel. Another (Guatemalan) guest at the hotel told us the area is extremely dangerous and not to walk outside. There appears to be a bullet hole in the kitchen/breakfast room window.- Do not try to change the shower settings, especially while showering. It electrocuted us (fortunately not seriously) due to what appear to be open wires connecting the shower head to the power.- The lock was very difficult to use - we would try to open our door for many minutes but always needed the manager's help to open it.

Liked: The guesthouse is located in easy walking distance to the clothing market and Avenida Real, the pedestrian street, restaurants, and the Plaza Grande. The manager, Ambrosio, was a sweet and most helpful man. He arranged for a driver, Roberto to pick us up at the airport.

Liked: This is a very basic hostel in the center of Guatemala City. I arranged in advance for the hostel to pick me up from the airport. It was very easy and convenient. The hostel is very basic but adequate. The wifi worked in the room.

Disliked: Very basic accommodations.
