Liked: The other traveller's that I met ther, and the private rooms seemeed nice (i stayed in a dorm room)

Disliked: the dirtiness, the staff when guests had complsints, the over charging of all that the hostel offered... e.g they pick you up for free... however charge 30 yuan to drop at the train station when a taxi is only 10 yuan. the raty rooms... and slao the fact that it felt like you were sleeping in a 12year old's bedroom

Liked: Super nice and friendly staff. Good location, rooms are ok.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike really. Desert tour was rather expensive for what you get though.

Liked: The people working at the hostel were friendly and (as detailed in the description) spoke Mongolian as well as Chinese. The only time when the hostel staff were not helpful is when we arrived (as I describe below)

Disliked: The hostel cost twice as much as a 3 star hotel right in the centre of the city. This hostel is ONE to TWO hours walk away from the centre or FORTY minutes by bus- TWENTY minutes by taxi.We arranged with the hostel that they would pick us up when our bus arrived early in the morning. However, when we arrived they first refused to pick us up and told us that we needed to take a taxi. Only after they were unable to explain to the taxi driver where the hostel was (there is no specific address given online, only the name of the main street that the hostel's side street is on) did they finally arrange for us to be picked up.

Liked: We liked the grassland tour. It was a great way to see the real Inner Mongolia.

Disliked: The tour is a little on the expensive side. Also, if you would like to go on more than one tour plan ahead of time. It is hard to find a tour (other that the grassland tour) if you are not traveling with a big group of people.

Liked: friendly atmosphere. nice staff. fun people and great tours (off the beaten tracks)

Disliked: make sure to ask what is included in a tour an what is not - bring your OWN water to the desert tour since only a liter is supplied to you for two days.
