Liked: Price,WiFi

Disliked: It was not very comfortble to stay here. Don't expect. But don't forget. This accomodation is one of the cheapest in Siem Reap. If you pay $2 more, you can find more comfortable accomodation.

Liked: Met lots of cool people here, one of the best-value hostels I've stayed at in the last few months. The bar/common room area is great, fast free wifi, helpful staff, great location near Pub Street, great food on the menu...for a dollar a night, what more do you want!

Disliked: Wouldn't say it's a dislike, but be aware of the 'Khmer style' in parts of the hostel, it is open-air (and it IS Cambodia) so you do get the odd lizard, rat, spider scuttling around outside. You've got a net, though so you'll be safe!

Liked: The room that I moved to was quieter, further away from the bar, but it did cost $5. The staff also arranged tuktuk for Angkor wat and my bus to siem reap no problems. This place is fine if you just want to party - but there are plenty of nicer places to stay in Siem Reap, and it's not hard to party anywhere!

Disliked: The $1 dorm is just mattresses on a shelf either side of the corridor between reception and the stairs to the bar, so it is incredibly noisy until all hours, it is also outdoors - fine in drier weather but not ideal in rainy season. There are only 2 communal bathrooms for the whole place and they are filthy, also there were not enough lockers for people who wished to use them.

Liked: - Location is good with only a minutes walk to the ever present tuk tuk drivers/food area (food is cheaper outside of the GV)

Disliked: We had booked The Garden Village a month before arriving but as soon as we arrived we had to wait an hour for them to tell us that they had overbooked and given our room away. Conveniently as ever in Asia they had another family guesthouse just down the road for us to stay in. However the atmosphere was terrible, no facilities on offer at all (had to walk to GV to use anything), cockroaches in the room constantly and a smelly "river" outside. On top of this they offered no discount or help whatsoever and were generally very unhelpful at both locations often accompanied by a vacant stare upon any request.

Disliked: Gave us an upgraded room without our knowing and wanted us to pay the full price during check out. Not honest. After 30 minutes of argument gave us back the money.

Liked: This place is awesome man! The location is just perfect! It is walking distance to Pub Street, night market and many others. And it is easy to go everywhere - tourists attractions by tuktuk too. The Sunset Bar is awesome place to lazying around with other backpackers around the world. Good food, good drinks, very sensible price as well. The laundry service is pretty fast too. The regular dormetry is awesome - with nice bunk beds, clean and decent shower room. A must to stay if you come to Siem Reap, especially if you on budget!

Disliked: Nothing. One of the best place ever along my backpacking trip!
