About Lord Wolseley
The Lord Wolseley is officially the narrowest pub in NSW and has got to be one of the smallest but what it is most famous for is its beer.
The pub has been around since 1881 and the pipes have been looked after with much tender, love and care over the decades.
This allows the Wolseley taps to pour the freshest Carlton or VB this side of the Nullabor and keeps the bar busy seven days a week.
The pub has sat discreetly on the corner of Quarry St and Bulwara Rd since 1881 and to this day it remains one of Ultimo’s best kept secrets.
Most of the regulars have drunk here for most of their entire adult life and are always willing to tell you a yarn about the pub.
For the price of a middy, the pub mascot Keithy will sit with you for an hour or two and unravel a detailed history of the area.
Built in 1881, the hotel was renovated in 1996 to provide extra accommodation and a new Restaurant was opened. The hotel offers casual accommodation with a relaxed do-it-yourself breakfast with rooftop views of Ultimo and Pyrmont.
The area is steeped in the history of early settlement. The Harris family were the dominant landowners in the area for over 100 years and a nearby street bears their name.
All rooms provide TV (Fox sports and free to air), Ceiling fans, External windows, Clock radios, Towels and soap.
Breakfast and tea/coffee making facilities are provided in communal areas.

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
