Boardrider Backpacker Manly is Manly’s only purpose built 4 star hostel, located in the heart of Manly with weekend markets, boutique stores, coffee shops, bars and restaurants at the door, plus a gourmet hot dog shop in the foyer! Boasting great water views, you are a mere 80m from one of Australia’s premier beaches, and a short ferry ride to the famous Sydney Harbour. This perfect location gives you the opportunity to experience Australian beach culture, whilst only being 7 miles from the heart of the city.
Boardrider offers free unlimited internet to all guests, as well as a fun packed entertainment program that runs 7 days a week. These activities include; BBQ’s on the roof deck where guests can drink their own Ozzie beer with a 360° view of Manly, movie nights, organised club nights, beach volleyball, paint balling, bowling, laser tag, surfing lessons – all at special discounted backpacker rates. In addition, we also run a job center strictly for our guests, where we provide jobs and actively assist with job hunting with a constantly updated job board.
We have a variety of room types available, including 4 - 8 bed dorms, female only dorms, motel rooms, deluxe and standard rooms and double shares and family rooms in the winter. Disabled facilities are provided, along with 24-hour security cameras, large common room with views of the beach, plasma television with Foxtel and DVD player, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and a roof top terrace.

Accommodation Information

All rooms are equipped with large secure lockers. Private rooms have tea/coffee making facilities/freshly pressed linen and fresh towels. our private rooms have TV, DVD player and our deluxe rooms have private bathrooms.
We also offer 30% off surfboard and body board hire, as well as snorkel hire.

We also offer parking for our guests, however, this is an extra $20 per night, and is a request only. please call to make a parking booking.(International travelers only in dormitory style rooms, Passport must be produced upon check in.)

Location Information

Boardrider Backpackers and Budget Motel Manly has the best location in Manly, being based right on the Corso, literately 1 minute from the main beach and a 5-minute walk from the Manly Wharf. It can't get any better!

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 2 days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the first nights cost of the reservation, unless otherwise stated in the property’s conditions. Deposits paid are non refundable.
