Customer Travel Tip: Walk to CatCat village. You can get there easily on your own and you can see a really nice waterfall
Liked: You can do trekking tours
Disliked: Not a lot of people. Not much to do besides trekking

Customer Travel Tip: Negotiate a price on anything to avoid getting ripped off!
Liked: Everything is very close to one another and close to the villages
Disliked: Locals harassed you to buy things and would follow you down the street. Other locals would blatantly rip you off

Customer Travel Tip: Worth booking tours yourself in sapa, no need to arrange in Hanoi. Tourist info in sapa were helpful.

Customer Travel Tip: Eat at Little Sapa restaurant - I ate there 3 nights in a row. Have something that arrives sizzling on a hot plate from the 'Vietnamese specialities' pages at the back of the menu ;)
Liked: Fresh air, beautiful scenery, meeting women from local tribes, being in a rural setting away from hustle and bustle of the big cities. Great place. Liked it so much stayed 3 nights instead of the 2 I'd planned.
Disliked: Nope.

Liked: Sapa is a beautiful place, wish we would have stayed longer. Perfect place for hiking and trekking.
Disliked: The ladies in the street harass you to buy things from them. I didn't find it the best place to eat out.

Liked: The tours, views, landscapes are incredible
Disliked: Local sellers, they do not leave you alone, follow you on your tour, it becomes irritating after a while

Customer Travel Tip: Don't book accommodation before you get here - in low season- there's no shortage and then you can really see what you're getting.
Liked: Countryside, mountains
Disliked: Hmong ethnic minority hassling tourists and using their children to do the same

Customer Travel Tip: Take enough time out of your traveltime to go and see this area, one day isn't enough, i came 4 days and i should have come even longer
Liked: Sapa itself is just a good point to start your trekking true nature, the surrounding villages and mountains are beautiful

Customer Travel Tip: Speak to the tribal women on the street they will take you to their village and cook you a meal, for a minimal amount of money. You will get a real view of the people. Negotiate prior to going, It is very safe to do this and you are directly giving the money to the person and a third party tour group.

Customer Travel Tip: Charge your camera battery and have space on your memory card... Those views are simply stunning.
Liked: The scenery was amazing and people friendly. Did a really good trek and homestay also.
Disliked: You do get hassled a bit being a tourist but it's okay.

Disliked: yes the pollution, cold and hill-tribes in town and the way they are with tourists asking them to buy from them etc
