Trip Type:

Customer Travel Tip: Stay close to Bui Vien street as that is where the cheap food and drinks are and where all the people seem to congregate! Also, Ho Chi Minh is not the place to go if you want to relax, but that's what I like about it :)

Liked: Cultural sightseeing is endless, amazing food and nightlife selection, a very active and exciting city!

Disliked: Market stall owners and cyclo drivers are extremely pushy and rude.

Trip Type:

Customer Travel Tip: Don't take out a handbag with you or any extra cash/valuables, be careful with your phone etc especially at night.

Liked: There are lots of shops, bars, restaurants all within walking distance of where I stayed (backpacker area)

Disliked: constantly harassed by people trying to sell you things, didn't feel safe walking down the street at night (two of my friends got robbed), everything is very expensive.

Customer Travel Tip: Stay a little longer if you can

Liked: Ho chi minh is so much nicer than everyone we had spoken to made it out to be. It is a busyxcity but has a lot going for it - trendy bars, live music and nice places to eat. We ate ata place called geisha which was really nice. Very sad to be leaving after one day actually. On the culture front it was excellent with the museums and of course the tunels. We are budget travellera and stayed at Rou hostel which was also fab!

Disliked: Double check transport prices as we got ripped off a bit on the motors. But that seems to be vietnam ..

Trip Type:
Beach / sunbathing Sightseeing & culture Sports, adventure or outdoor activities

Customer Travel Tip: Book all your tours once you get to Vietnam, that'll save you some serious money!

Liked: In the city itself there's not much to see. It's a pretty busy city with its motorbike congested streets. Taking a tour of the Mekong Delta or the Cu Chi tunnels are worth a visit.

Disliked: The street salesmen were everywhere. Sales people in the Ben Than market were pretty pushy too. However, it's nothing that would bother you too much.

Customer Travel Tip: Also be careful of your bags and belongings because motorists are know for snatching them as they ride past!

Liked: Cleaner than all the other capitals we have visited in South East Asia. Despite the organised chaotic traffic, Ho Chi Minh just really had a great feel to it!!

Disliked: Theres a lot of traffic so roads can be pretty hard to cross.
