Travel Type:

Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year

Customer Travel Tip: If you have been to a couple of big cities in a row I would recommend to first chill out somewhere more quiet and then visit ho chi minh. Otherwise it is a lot to take in. Traffic everywhere, especially a lot of motorbikes. Crazy!

Liked: Historic sights such as the war museum and the cu chi tunnels

Disliked: It is a really crowded city

Travel Type:
With my spouse / partner

Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year Beach / sunbathing Sightseeing & culture

Customer Travel Tip: Don't stay here for too long, you only need 3 days. Spend your money elsewhere e.g. Halong Bay or Hoi An

Liked: War museum offered an amazing insight to the history of this place.

Disliked: Apart from the War Museum, Mekong and Cu Chi Tunnels there wasn't really much else to do if you're a tourist. The Cu Chi tunnels arrangement seemed quite a token gesture as to what really happened, you were rushed around for 2 hours pushing to get view past every other tour group.

Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year Family Holiday Sightseeing & culture Visiting friends or family

Customer Travel Tip: Have the currency ahead of time as it is difficult to get at a good rate when needed immediately upon arrival especially if arriving overland

Liked: The food, the atmosphere and laid back pace of the area we stayed in with walking streets etc

Disliked: Taxis and bicycle taxis both were dishonest. Taxi actually drove us in circles until we said something and it turned out they should have just pointed us the correct direction to walk less than 2 blocks to our hotel

Trip Type:

Customer Travel Tip: Almost everything is negotiable! Also there is a bus from airport to the backpacker district that was really cheap and easy to catch from airport. For some reason most of the hostels don't mention that in their information

Liked: There is so much to see and do for every traveller!

Disliked: Traffic is of course crazy and people will try to fool you when you are a tourist. But nothing you couldn't handle just being aware of that.
