Customer Travel Tip: In summer, pack for warm weather and carry lots of water!
Liked: So much to see! Many museums free. Public transport was decent but was heavily under construction when I visited. Most sights also conveniently located to one another. Great food!
Disliked: Food very expensive, huge crowds on summer weekends.

Customer Travel Tip: Rent the DC Bike Share to get around town. Membership rates or just $2 one-way for 30 minutes or less. Stations are everywhere.
Liked: All Smithsonian museums are free. Tons of cheap transportation options. Locals are friendly.
Disliked: When on a group tour, my Segway scooter hit a curb and I broke my right arm in 3 places. Luckily at the end of this great vacation tho.

Disliked: i come from a small town, with little crime, and on the last day, i was irritated to find that a light had been taken from the back on my bike as it was chained to a bike rest outside the hostel. later that evening, i was really irritated upon leaving a concert event at a large downtown club, that my bike was gone! the cable lock had been cut and left behind. a very busy section of town! oh well.........life in the big city. it did occur to me that all the other bikes had large steel rod locks.............

Customer Travel Tip: I traveled all on foot, all by myself, since I'd got a pretty long stay there, all together four days. A lot of walks made me a bit tired, but It enabled me to visit more, see more, and taste more. So, I guess, if you have enough time, you can walk too.
Liked: the monuments, the memorials, the museums, the history and the culture.
Disliked: It's not a dislike, but I do hope Washington can offer more free tickets into the Monument.

Customer Travel Tip: take the tour bus, plan a long trip so that you can see a lot of places. Dont take a car, parking is very bad
