Customer Travel Tip: google instant translate!

Liked: Culture, theatre, recent history, architecture. Extremely helpful tourist bureau.

Disliked: Some of the attractions (the small history museums in the square) confusing/underwhelming. Many exhibits, uncompromisingly, only in Ukrainian (fair enough though!!)

Customer Travel Tip: Take cash (dollasr, euros or pounds) out there with you as I found the rates at the local bureau de changes are very competitive and there are many of them in the city centre.

Liked: It is an ancient city and you feel that History is all around you. Because the borders have changed around Lviv so often in the last 200 year there are Austrian, Russian, Polish, Soviet and Ukrainian architecture and sculptures in the city. It is also a diverse and surprisingly cosmopolitan city where you can eat at many different types of restaurant for prices that are extraordinarily cheap. The people of lviv are very welcoming to tourists and seem to be a little suprised at the interest in the city.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Delightful city in everyway

Customer Travel Tip: Going to Lviv : the quickest, interesting and best way to travel from Poland....... To cross the border - walk through ON FOOT (leave from outside Przemyszl rail station (PL) via the underpass (turning away from the Ticket Office side), and then, board a minibus outside the Station, to the border crossing - the mini-bus is marked Medyka(PL) - pay on board. On the Ukrainian side (Shegheyni(UA), catch the bus to Lviv. This (good sized) mini-bus will be found at the coach station (250 meters - beyond the taxis and shops), just down a turning, on the left. It takes about over an hour, and will drop you at Lviv main rail station, where you can catch tram to city centre in 10 mins). Do the opposite for a return journey

Liked: Everything, and a quarter of the price, back in the UK

Disliked: Nothing really - maybe lack of loos

Liked: The opportunity to attend some world class classical music performance-- opera, ballet and recitals. The ability to walk everywhere around the town. Good local maps.
