Customer Travel Tip: Try to coordinate with others for the taxi ride from airport. This save tremendously. Twiga can arrange for you to be picked up, as can other hotels. My flight landed at 4 am, but no problem being picked up. Oh, know that US citizens can easily get visa at airport, but at the cost of $100. Ridiculously priced if one wants to travel to Kenya also

Liked: Moshi gave more of a small town feel than its neighbor, Arusha. Additionally, the green area around Moshi alway felt better than the dryer Arusha. A great place for trekking to Kilimanjaro and a good place to jump off to Kenya by bus. Be sure to take a daladala for transport, it is fantastic and so cheap

Disliked: ATM'S in Moshi are more limited than one would think. Basically, Barclays is the best bet. Most banks cannot accept credit cards or bank cards, so be prepared.
