Customer Travel Tip: Book your accommodation early, don't eat in the main square (we made that mistake, very average food!), pack lots of white clothes! Make sure you pick your spot for the run and avoid any corners!

Liked: Amazing spectacle and atmosphere for the bull run. Always wanted to go and lived up to expectations. Was a sight to behold day and night as the centre of town came to life congregating around the main square. The bars are great and plenty of places to drink. There was 24 of us and we all had an amazing, memorable time. Would like to do it again

Disliked: No, was incredibly busy but we always knew this would be the case and added to the atmosphere

Customer Travel Tip: For San Fermin, book as far ahead as possible to get the best accommodation, ideally a year ahead. Don't do this via Hostelbookers as they take bookings they subsequently cancel as the accommodation owners haven't updated their prices for the following year.

Liked: Great, lively city during San Fermin, quiter the rest of the year.

Trip Type:
Events / festivals Sightseeing & culture

Customer Travel Tip: 1) Book a hotel outside of the city (Hotel Andia was perfect for us), 2) Carry small bills, 3) No need to eat in one of those fancy restaurants since most of the normal places served really great steaks, and 4) party well but watch your back for drunks or sub-standard people.

Liked: San Fermin festival and its history/culture.

Disliked: At some point during the night, it was just a total mess due to the massive partying. The whole town was a mess by 11p and smelled like a giant toilet. There were lots of unpredictable drunks. Some store clerks took advantage of tourists by refusing to give back change and instead offering cheap gifts (like a lighter).
