Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year

Customer Travel Tip: Go with an open mind, and don't expect the glories of Belgrade or the more northern Budapest. It's a great town, and as a traveller you'll be much more an object of curiosity than you might be in a larger, more metropolitan city. Talk to people!

Liked: Subotica was a very authentic little northern Serbian town. What this means is that many backpackers probably won't like it very much. It's not spectacular in any way, but because of this, it's a great window into the lives of the average Serbian citizen.

Disliked: It's quiet, and not a lot is going on. This is both a good thing and a bad thing.

Trip Type:
Sightseeing & culture

Customer Travel Tip: If you just want to go there and see the city, something like 3h are enough. But it's a good idea to go to Palic lake and to have a little break. It's a very nice place, where you can perfectly rest and it takes only 15 minutes to go there with the bus (nr6). They have there nice pubs and restaurants which are quite cheap :)

Liked: architecture, near to the Palic lake - a very nice place

Disliked: no
