Customer Travel Tip: Buy a return ticket if you are taking the public bus (No.4 Airport 1.35 each way) into town. Tell the driver what stop you want, or where you are going and they will drop you as close as possible. Buy a day rider bus fare if you are doing a few bus rides. It is cheap!

Liked: It was incredibly beautiful, safe and worthwhile visiting.

Disliked: limited access to wifi if you don't have it on your cell phone.

Customer Travel Tip: In fact it's best to use Kirkwall as a base for touring Orkney, the town is too small albeit with a distinct character. And check hotels before going for the Kirkwall hostel, they might offer better service for the same money.

Liked: A very interesting town with a thousand years worth of history and a great Radio Museum.
