Liked: a safe city

Disliked: no signage for tourists, only has an information center with schedules and does not work on Sundays.

Customer Travel Tip: Enjoy the restaurants and bars, but then get out and see the rest of the country.

Liked: Very relaxed. Some fantastic restaurants and places to have a drink. A few interesting sights.

Disliked: Very little night life (all bars close at 10pm).

Customer Travel Tip: Shop at the local supermarkets, find out from locals how much your taxi should be then make sure you ask the taxi driver for that price before getting in as there are no taxi meters

Liked: It has quite a nice waterfront

Customer Travel Tip: Stick with the same taxi driver if you find one you like. They are full of wonderful information and can be a huge help.

Customer Travel Tip: Always bargain for what you want never pay the price they give you straight up look around first before you decide to buy.

Liked: Scenery and how laid back some people are.

Customer Travel Tip: Having been to savaii twice I would suggest going there prior to Apia, it is about 10 mins drive from the air port to the post ie 15 tala, then a boat trip 12 tala, then a bus ride up north to Janes Beach falaes by the beach, 80 tala a night and breakfast and tea,

Liked: very laid back, cheap items in shops if you shop around

Disliked: numerous guards by ATM's tells you a picture, did not feel overly safe in the town, be aware drivers dont give way to pedestrians

Customer Travel Tip: Nicer places to stay up in the hills behind e.g. dave Parkers Eco-Lodge

Liked: Not too busy. Not too many hawkers (except outside the mall cafes). Lucky Foodtown best supermarket to stock up on gourmet or health provisions.
