Customer Travel Tip: I reccomend staying in Huaraz for two or three nights to aclimatize before you start your trek into higher altitudes. More than that is unnecessary.
Liked: It is good place to prepare for your trek/trip into the mountains. You can buy lots of souvenirs there and eat well.
Disliked: It was very hard to find shop with souvenir t-shirts. It is located on Plaza de Armas in street next to the post, they have a nice selection. Dont bother looking for t-shirts on the mercado central.

Customer Travel Tip: Go to Pastoruri (but take your time because of the highness), the Lake Llanganuco is brilliant. And for food: Mi Comedia is great.
Liked: The nature around
Disliked: The city itself isn't nice
