Customer Travel Tip: Visit Shirley or Merrivale or such for shopping and Hagley Park and Rose Garden to relax. Moorhouse Road supermarkets are good and free shuttle is best way to get around the city.

Liked: Not fair to rate Christchurch after the worst city destruction in world due to 3 massive earthquakes. The city is still trying to recover: it's a huge task, the roads alone are all uneven and have to be re-laid and probably 70 to 80% of the city centre has been destroyed.

Disliked: Earthquake heartbreak.

Customer Travel Tip: The botanic garden is a must see, especially in spring.

Liked: The cardboard-cathedral and the botanic garden.

Disliked: It's shocking to see the aftermath of the big earthquake in 2011: the whole city center including the cathedral is totally destroyed. But I am not disliking that, I rather feel sorry that the whole inner city of Christchurch totally collapsed.

Customer Travel Tip: If you are staying in the centre of christchurch with a lot of luggage then I would leave my bags somewhere before going for a walk. The streets look pretty close on the map but it takes quite a long time to walk from one place to the other.

Liked: there is a hostel in the centre of the city which makes it easy to walk to places.

Disliked: There was not many shops and I had to walk quite far to the nearest supermarket. I also found that there was not a huge amount of fast food places in the centre of Christchurch which meant I had to walk quite far.
