Customer Travel Tip: Use your common sense. Ask the locals- they all speak excellent English. Avoid being too loud in a coffeeshop and hide your tabacco. Pickpocketers are common.

Liked: The liberal attitude towards many activities and the diverse people. The range of unique culture and interesting tourist attractions.

Disliked: Dealers selling hard drugs are everywhere and frequently ask you as you pass them. The red light district can be dodgy at night though I had no problems, you may feel vunrable. Alcohol, like in many capital cities, is expensive. The amount of tourist souviner shops can sometimes ruin the pictueque vibe.

Customer Travel Tip: Stay in a hotel/hostel in the centre if possible as you will get fed up travelling in and out of the centre if your hotel is further out, it's worth the extra bit of money to stay in the centre.

Liked: I loved the atmosphere in the city and the people were very friendly. There is plenty to see and do and lots of quirky shops, museums, cafes, restaurants etc. I particularly liked the cafes (Hill Street Blues was my favourite, on a street just behind the Grasshopper) the zoo and the sex museum. Our favourite restaurant was a small Mexican restaurant just off Dam Square, lovely food and fairly reasonable. The tram and bus systems are very good and well-priced.

Disliked: I disliked the weather a little! It rained a lot of the time we were there but I suppose that can't be helped, April showers happen. It was quite expensive, we went for 4 full days but I would recommend a 3-day stay instead as we were down to our last Euros on the last day.
