Customer Travel Tip: The jungle tour at the ruins is mostly a walk along a well-marked trail. You could probably do this solo without losing much. My guide spoke only Spanish, so I didn't understand half of what he said anyway....

Liked: Palenque is a nice enough town. I mostly visited for the ruins.

Disliked: Nothing.

Customer Travel Tip: There's a little coffee and chocolate shop on the road next to Juarez. Everything is amazing there and the owner is a very interesting lady and keen to share her knowledge (and chocolate!)

Liked: The ruins are incredible, as are the casacadas.

Disliked: Everyone trying to sell you things all the time. It's minor though and is the only negative I can think of.

Customer Travel Tip: Get a taxi to the ruins and dont go with the first tour guide that asks you if you want a guided tour around it starts off at nearly 1000pasos but we got one down to 400pasos and our tour guide was great he had lived in the area all his life and was a wealth of information. Dont forget to take water with you as it is super expensive there more than double that if you get it in town.

Liked: The ruins were the only reason to go
