Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year

Customer Travel Tip: If you're arriving by bus to Malacca Sentral you can take the local bus number 17 all the way to the main square in Malacca for something ridiculously cheap like RM 1.50. So no need to spend any more than that on a taxi. It's very easy to do, just jump on and pay the driver.

Liked: Easy to walk around. Jonker St/Chinatown part of town.

Disliked: Not much to do after a day or two.

Customer Travel Tip: Take the time to visit all the historical places in Malacca. Eat cheap street food at the markets and enjoy yourself!

Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year Sightseeing & culture

Customer Travel Tip: Poh piah lwee!!! And dont go to geographers to have a drink! Way to expensive, go to a side street, there are some nice cheaper bars and pubs where you don't have to wait as long to get served.

Liked: The poh pia lwee restaurant a bit out of chinatown. Even though it's in the lonely planet, nobody goes there and the staff is friendly and will explain you what's inside their homemade pohpias, rojak or laksa. Everything worth it! Only around 3-5rm and soooo nice!

Disliked: The rain and because of hara rayah the end of ramadhan the city was full. People were waiting for minimum 30minutes outside of some restaurants that were in the lonely planet or other guides. We thought it wouldnt be worth the wait and the money, the food in the street stalls was nice enough
