Customer Travel Tip: Don't stay too far out (we were in Langata and paid $$ to travel around by drivers). If you must stay far out, you can save a lot of $ by riding matatus. Just don't look like a tourist or take a giant bag or display any electronics, and you'll be fine.

Liked: Different culture

Disliked: Not much to do in the way of sightseeing - everything was very far apart and the traffic was ridiculous.

15 Jan 2014

Customer Travel Tip: In and out. Take a day and plan the few things that are worthwhile there. Hire a driver for the day, it makes all the difference.

Liked: It's the hub really, for further travel, rather than a destination of it's own, although there are gems in this city that I would not want to miss such as Sheldrick. You can't really get about unless you take a taxi (and our taxi driver was wonderful).

Disliked: No. It's just another big city in Africa.
