Customer Travel Tip: Don't get ripped off!
Liked: Very inexpensive, and lots of good food. Especially coming from China, there was suddenly lots of good stuff to eat, I was overjoyed.
Disliked: The people are very impersonal. Not enough churches

Customer Travel Tip: Split a cab to Lake Almaty. Another traveler and I paid 10,000 Tenge, but it would have been nicer to have more time for hiking around the lake. Maybe you could negotiate more time.
Liked: the personality
Disliked: The museum with the Golden Man was disappointing. I suggest skipping it. The museum in Astana is much better.
