Customer Travel Tip: Down town is lovely just to eat whit the locals and it near to every place in the county that you what to travel.
Liked: It's so mutch culture. It's like a different time when you enter down town. People are wery friendly and invite you to your home. Very cheap food if you go to the local restaurant.
Disliked: you should not go out by your self when it's dark and you are a women. The local are very helpful but the men can allsow make you unconforbel when they talk to you. You should allsow dress more covering if you moving around downtown. They are lots of locals that hurass you if you show to mutch skin.

Customer Travel Tip: - avoid Amman at all, and head straight from the airport to Madaba
Liked: - contrast between dirt of old part and some new quarters, especially going from downtown to rainbow street is drastic change of environment - nice street market in rainbow street on friday (hope it was friday)
Disliked: - there's not that much to do in downtown, it's dirty and full of cheap bad quality Chinese merchandise - bad public transport (as everywhere in third world)

Customer Travel Tip: Don't stay more than 2 days. Base for rest of Jordan. Find supermarkets. Huge price range for local and tourist areas
Liked: not a lot! Citadel was only site worth visiting. People were friendly. Children wanted to practice english
Disliked: Very hard to get around. Not pedestrian friendly. Very hot. Public transport difficult

Customer Travel Tip: Jerash is well worth a visit. The taxi services from the hotels and hostels is more expensive than the taxi from the streetm, always shop around for a price.
Liked: Hustling and bustling. THe people are very friendly and we felt safe the whole time. Easy to do day trips with Amman as the base - Jerash, Dead Sea etc
Disliked: Beer at a bar was very expensive.

Customer Travel Tip: Use as a base, but take day trips as Amman does not have tons to see, it's a good base
Liked: Friendly people, faily cheap place to travel, pretty good cultural night life
Disliked: No one speaks English, you have to haggle for everything, they will rip you off if you are not vigilant and they suspect you of being a tourist, but I suppose where is that not the case

Customer Travel Tip: Was traveling on a tight budget, if you are too and would like to save on eating out, try the Hashim and Al-Quds Restaurants on Al-Malek-al-Hussein street, downtown Amman.
Liked: The Amphitheater, The Citadel, Hashim Restaurant, Jordan Tower Hotel.
Disliked: Taxi drivers who quote absurd prices for very short distances and who change the agreed price half way through. Rude immigration officers at the airport.

Customer Travel Tip: prepare for v big differences in prices from tourist to local prices. The same goes for ways of getting about. But it's hard to do this unless you speak Arabic at least to a good basic standard.
Liked: the possibility of breaking out of the tourist experience and finding your own way around. My answers to the above are based on my own experience.
Disliked: not reasonably.
