Customer Travel Tip: Get a boat to the Volcanic Islands. We saw Panarea and Stromboli and they were great. Also, make the effort to go to the end of the Capo d'Milazzo. It's a really lovely walk.

Liked: Really interesting and lively place. The harbour and front is really nice. The castle is good to go to and free.

Disliked: The public transport was bad. The train station is far out of the town and we waited around for ages for the shuttle. Once in the town, because they had changed to winter service, the buses up to the Capo d'Milazzo only go every two hours or so and stop at 5pm for the day. A warning is that when the buses do come, they are bang on time, if not early. They do not hang around. Also, ALL the shops shut at 1-2 and don't open till 5 - meaning that if you miss them in the morning, you can't get any food till after you should be on the bus! A little frustrating if you are not expecting it.
