Travel Type:

Trip Type:
City break

Age Range:
25-30

Customer Travel Tip: Allow at-least 3 full days (maybe 4) to explore Galway city, Connemara (deserves more than just a day trip), the Aran Isands and The Burren/Cliffs of Moher. If taking an early flight to Dublin airport, have a full day out and enjoy the cheaper nightlife in Galway and take an overnight bus (2.5-3 hours) almost every hour between midnight and 5 am from the coach station.

Liked: Small city surrounded by great countryside, islands and numerous day trip options

Disliked: Very much a mini Dublin now, what was once a cheap student town attracting only the more curious backpacker, is now a full on party town (still cheaper, though not as much as Dublin). Pre-book hostels here between early May and September, can no longer just turn up and get a bed. Beers affordable, but still a bit pricey (€4.50-5.50)

Customer Travel Tip: Dont take the exoress bus to the Cliffs of Moher unless you only want to take a photk and leave. 2 hours is not long enough there to see much and the bus was terrible. Take the early city bus out instead to take your time.

Liked: Very cute city with lots to do if you like food and bars.
