Customer Travel Tip: Master up the routes for the angkut/minivan. Get the alphabets correctly for the various colored angkuts. Their pronounciation of 'P' sounds more like pae. 'B' is bae, 'I' is ea, 'A' is ah and so on and so forth. Have it down in black and white. Better still learn the language.
Liked: People are so friendly and ever ready to help with me move around using the angkut. One young man even went from bemo to bemo to ask if they were passing where I was headed. Ladies even helped me to pull my luggage bag up the bus/angkut. There were always ready smiles on the angkut and 1 middle aged lady emphathise with me about not wanting ,to pay 80,000 rp to go to the airport. There were many times, people went out of their way to assist me, like looking out for an empty taxi at dusk.
Disliked: The traffic jams and its accompanying fumes. Never take the angkut during peaks hours. People loves to smoke like in all of Indonesia. The drivers of the public transport smoke as well as the passengers. The tricksters who prey on passengers at the bus terminals. The illegal taxis drivers who shamelessly advertise for the prostitutes, male or female
