Customer Travel Tip: Book ahead for the main Mercedes factory tour (vehicle assembly line) a couple of days before you go as you need to email them. Also all the factory tours (Porsche and Mercedes) are closed on a weekend to if you are interested in them you need to go through the week.

Liked: The Mercedes factory tour I went on (the engine one) was really good, both the car museums were good also (Merc and Porsche). The park in the middle was really good to run around.

Disliked: Not that I can think of

Customer Travel Tip: I was there in winter--and it was cold! Bring layers and warm shoes. It isn't cheap either (nothing in Germany is) so if you're on a budget, consider bringing/cooking your own food. The train station is crowded and busy, so if you plan to buy your tickets at the station, be sure to leave plenty of time to wait in line! The German system is very efficient (of course) but you must wait in line, sometimes for 20+ minutes. Visit the Porsche Museum (I've heard the Mercedes one is bigger, but I don't care for Mercedes) and Hohenzollern Castle is neat too!

Liked: Well, I didn't really like Stuttgart. But then again, I was in Stuttgart to see other things, in particular, the impressive Hohenzollern Castle (1.5 hours away by bus and train, very easy to get to), and the Porsche Museum (which is also very good if you like Porsches!) Not much left downtown.

Disliked: It was mostly bombed during the war, and few buildings remained/were rebuilt, so there isn't much left to see in the centre, the Altes Schloss, the Neu Schloss, some churches. It was okay. But like I said, I wasn't in Stuttgart to see it's town centre!
