Customer Travel Tip: It was very nice, not sure that there is enough there though to spend more than three to four days max in this city.

Liked: We wern't in Bordeaux for very long (only one night) so it's difficult to answer these questions. We loved the streets of Bordeaux, nice shopping!

Beach / sunbathing City break Relaxation / spa Romantic getaway Sightseeing & culture

Customer Travel Tip: Visit the Tourist Information offices if you're not sure about anything - they are very helpful. Make time to wander around the city centre and enjoy all the sights!

Liked: The architecture and the history of the town is gorgeous. There is plenty to see and plenty of places to go even on a budget. We didn't feel accosted by vendors trying to sell us tourist things, as I've experienced in some other French places, although this could be because we didn't go during high season - we felt able to mingle with the locals and practice our rusty French. There are lots of lovely little squares and outdoor cafes / restaurants where you can have a coffee or a glass of wine.

Disliked: It was a little bit windy at times during our stay. Also, at one point we went to the beach and then got stuck there overnight because a driver misinformed us of the time of the last bus back to Bordeaux (although it must be said that the locals were incredibly helpful in finding us a not-too-pricey hotel to stay at so we could catch the bus back the next day).

Customer Travel Tip: Bordeaux is small enough to be explored on foot, and there are lots of nice streets and squares which you will find if you choose to sightsee this way!

Liked: It is small enough to walk around to see the main sights.

Disliked: The main shopping area was impossible to find! We walked around in circles all day looking for it and our map was less than helpful.

Customer Travel Tip: I would reccomend checking out the open air tourbus. They have a great tour of the city and a fun wine tasting at the end, all for an extremely reasonable price! I would also reccomend the wine bar L'autre petit bois. Excellent wine, food, and service!

Liked: Bordeaux is a beautiful city with many things to do. There is a little something for everyone. There was great shopping, nice restaurants and wine bars, as well as great tours that really showed you the historical parts of the city. It has a city feel, but it is very relaxed.

Disliked: No, I found the whole city to be wonderful.
