Trip Type:
City break
Customer Travel Tip: Avoid it if you can or just visit for a day which will be plenty!! Do not go to the local nigh clubs etc Very dangerous and unpleasant.
Liked: Easy to get around in taxi..cheap.
Disliked: Very crowded, dangerous driving and narrow escapes from getting run over. Not much choice in food unless you enjoy spicy food. Fish and chips etc are all pre-cooked, stale food for sale everywhere. Very expensive to buy food items eg: peanut butter cost $15FDJ for a standard jar! Watch out for Native Fijians accosting you in the street trying to sell jewellery. Also some of them were dressed as tourist and pretending to be Aussies or Americans then trying to corner you to sell wooden crafts. When exchanging money, look out for Shoeshine boys outside the door. They are passing infomation to other gangs about who is cashed up . Not much activities for tourists. Very expensive and chaotic place.
