Customer Travel Tip: Climb the Castle Keep!

Liked: Very impressive cityscape, and nice architecture in the city centre and quayside. The view from the castle keep is amazing, as are the bridges.

Disliked: The weather, and half of the city centre was scaffolded and under construction

Customer Travel Tip: Just enjoy it!

Liked: I like the culture, the nightlife, the exceptionally friendly people, and other things. The general feel of the city is great.

Disliked: There isn't actually much to 'see' and do in Newcastle, but at night it remains alive in places.

Customer Travel Tip: Use the day saver tickets on the metro, it's a great way to get around without parking worries.

Liked: Excellent planning for the GNR, everything was well signposted and the locals were very suportive.

Customer Travel Tip: Easy to get to beamish museum with a bus in city that takes you there, runs every 30mins in day and weekends, buses frequent into Gatesed also

Liked: It was appealing to all ages with plenty to do, good transport system to get you where you wanted to go, the quayside was a nice area to walk with a sandy play area for children with bukets and spades and deckchairs which was all free. Plenty of shops and cafe bars and other eating places

Customer Travel Tip: There is a coffee shop call 9 next to the Royal Theatre very good! The best time to go to the bridges is between 7 and 9 so you can see the sunset and the illumination in the millennium bridge
