Customer Travel Tip: Stay close as you can to city centre and walk everywhere. New Street Train Station drops you right in city centre (direct line from London Euston and the train stops at Birmingham International airport) and many opportunities to eat out cheaply. Staying close to city centre gives more time to look around Birmingham and is the kick off point for many activities. Much of the city centre is being renovated so be aware of some construction for light rail and improved aesthetics of the paved mall areas. Don't forget to see Victoria Square and gallery.
Liked: Major transport is close to city centre. Large shopping complex ( the bull ring) to stay out of inclement weather. Many cheap places to eat and night life is wonderful.
Disliked: Weather, as with most of U.K., very unpredictable.
