Customer Travel Tip: Be firm when you say NO to the vendors. Look past the rubbish and squalor, Luxor is on the up and will only get better with more tourism and positive word of mouth.
Liked: It's a really vibrant city, with a bit of everything. Prices are good and always negotiable and everyone is really friendly. Transport is really easy to organize as the van taxis are always around.
Disliked: As with most Egyptian cities it is quite dirty everywhere, and cats and dogs everywhere. Also with most Egyptian cities you get haggled all the time to buy stuff, when you just want to go for a walk.
