Customer Travel Tip: Know rudimentary Spanish, go with a friend or a group, stay at Tangara Guest House or on the Malecon.
Liked: The Malecon and the various parks were lovely.
Disliked: I disliked that I could not hail a taxi on the street nor use public buses according to the US Embassy and my host because of the danger. That left walking or having someone call a taxi for me. Having someone call a taxi after one has walked miles and wants to go home is not as simple as it might seem.

Customer Travel Tip: Only stay as long as you need.
Liked: The Malecon is nice and walking up and down the hill at Las Penas is a nice way to kill some time.
