Customer Travel Tip: Have everything you need to communicate written in Mandarin ahead of your trip. Especially the addresses you will need to show to taxi drivers. Hostels usually have English speakers and are helpful when it comes to planning your day trips. Some excursions are more worth it than others and every price seems negotiable. Also bring hand soap/sanitizer because many places don't have it.

Liked: The landscapes are remarkable. The karst peaks there are completely unique and probably can't be found anywhere else on the planet.

Disliked: No, not really.

Customer Travel Tip: Don't walk from the north bus station to the south bus station , get a Tuk Tuk . Make sure you have your bartering hat on. Getting a hostel/hotel right on west street is a lot funner than getting one off of west street. If you do get one off of west street, Beautiful Hutong Hostel is the best one out there. Simon is the guy that runs the place and he's the coolest Chinese person I've ever met. So helpful with all your adventures and awesome at speaking English and trying to get you deals on your adventures. We love Simon! Yangshuo is the greatest...long live Yangshuo!

Liked: Loved it, one of favorite vacation spots/sightseeing locations. Love the activities there including the mud caves, hiking to Moonhill, biking through the countryside, rock climbing, renting motor scooters, shopping, and relaxing in awesome hostels.

Disliked: Do NOT go during the national holiday, or if you have to, make your stay last beyond the Chinese national holiday. Yangshuo will not be as fun of a vacation spot if you go during this time because of how horrendously crowded and overpriced it is.
