Liked: The contrasts between the ancient and modern. There's much more to this place than canals and gardens - lovely as they are!

Liked: beautiful water town in PingJinag Rd. and Shantang Rd.

Disliked: It seems like the city itself is under the construction at the moment. Every Roads are under construction.

Customer Travel Tip: Bring a comfy pair of shoes to wander around :)

Liked: It's a pretty city with lots of parks and places to walk.

Disliked: It's becoming a little touristy and away from the sights it's really just another Chinese town.

Customer Travel Tip: Find accommodation near to the gardens.

Liked: Not much

Disliked: Gardens were overrated. Lack of restaurants near the hostel

Liked: Gardens and Watertown areas.

Disliked: Not many places to eat. Not enough things to do for a long stay.

Liked: Nice place, nice people. Small expat community.

Disliked: Mosquitos

Customer Travel Tip: Stay in Ping Jiang and avoid this hostel. See a garden and a museum and you have really seen what Suzhou has had to offer.

Liked: Most of the sites can be walked to in the north of the city

Disliked: Too many electric bikes.. construction of the subway had us walking in the middle of the street with the cars. When does China think of pedestrians as important?

Customer Travel Tip: I.M. pei museum All the gardens ( recommend the small one's like garden of the nets ) day trip to one of the little water towns around the center. walk around at night near the hostel is a great scenery.

Liked: visiting the gardens and especially the I.M. Pei museum ( for architecture lovers)

Disliked: the old city centre has given away for many boring commercial buildings, at first sight it makes the city centre un attractive.

Customer Travel Tip: Do visit the gardens.

Liked: The gardens were really beautiful and peaceful to walk around.

Customer Travel Tip: Figure out where you want to eat before going out as finding food can be difficult.

Liked: We loved everything we saw! The humble Administrators garden was beautiful.

Disliked: Trying to find the bus to get to our hostel when we arrived at the train station. It took asking 5 different people and a slight breakdown before we found the correct number 1 bus.

Customer Travel Tip: Visit the humble administrator garden but try to avoid the weekend, go to the old town, rent a bike

Customer Travel Tip: In Summer it gets really, really hot (well over 40°C at day and still over 30°C at night), so think about that, when you plan your trip as this weather is not for everybody.

Disliked: Comparatively very high prices

Customer Travel Tip: If you can't speak chinese, write down the bus numbers you have to use to get from one place to the other place the name of their correspondents bus stops. There is only one subway line so you need chinese to get around.

Liked: Very cultural, I highly recommend Tian Ping Mountain

Liked: The wonderful gardens and the atmosphere of the old city

Customer Travel Tip: Train is very useful.

Liked: The river side is good.foods are cheap. Easy to access from shanghai .

Disliked: Far from supermarket.
